Certified Professional in Supply Management® (CPSM®) Program

National Association of Purchasing Management San Diego will be teaching The CPSM. This is a new industry and educational credential that surpasses the demands of the international marketplace with multi-faceted skills in areas such as supplier relationship management, commodity management, risk and compliance issues and social responsibility. more info.

The criteria for earning the CPSM® qualification are:

  • 3 years of full-time, professional supply management experience
  • A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university (or the international equivalent)
  • Pass three exams OR if you are a C.P.M. in good standing, pass the Bridge Exam
Important Dates to Remember:

Last day to register for the C.P.M. Exam
(test registrations are valid for one year)

December 31, 2008
Last day to apply for the C.P.M. designation December 31, 2013
Last day to register for the CPSM® Bridge Exam
(test registrations are valid for one year)
December 31, 2014

The CPSM® Exam will consist of three main sections:

Section A — Foundation of Supply Management
150 scored questions + 15 un-scored=165 with 2 hours and 45 minutes allowed

Section B — Effective Supply Management Performance
150 scored questions + 15 un-scored=165 with 2 hours and 45 minutes allowed

Section C — Leadership in Supply Management
165 scored questions + 15 un-scored=180 with 3 hours allowed

We are very excited to be moving forward with ISM to promote the certification of the next generation. In the next few weeks, we will have an outline schedule and pricing for the CPSM.
