In today’s business climate Globalization has greatly impacted Supply Chain and Procurement professionals’ workflow. About the Speaker(s): Sylvia Casas-Jolliffe is President and founder of CASAS International Brokerage, one of the largest U.S. Customs Broker and freight forwarder along the California-Mexico border. Ms. Casas-Jolliffe’s experience in customs brokerage started in her teens and has culminated more than 30 years later in the leadership and management of what Hispanic Magazine named as one of the top 50 fastest growing companies in America.

Nora Marchand serves as Director of Business Development for CASAS International Brokerage. Mrs. Marchand previously has held positions in the semiconductor and wireless industries in various roles including engineering, sales, and marketing. She has over 20 years experiences in international business development and trade. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in French Literature Studies from the University of California at San Diego (UCSD).

About the Company: CASAS International was established in 1984 by Sylvia Casas and Martha Casas. The company has been serving the needs of importers and exporters for over 26 years. CASAS is a certified minority women owned business and currently employs over 150 employees in three locations along the California-Mexico Border. With affiliates, CASAS has over 300 employees in nine offices located in all major US-Mexico ports of entry. Our staff is mostly comprised of bilingual and bicultural employees along the southern border. CASAS is the largest California-Mexico border US Customs Broker. Casas International became C-TPAT Certified (Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) in 2003. Casas has been an ACE participant and worked with CPB in the implementation of its programs under a new platform (Automated Commercial Environment-ACE). We constantly seek automated systems that enable us to edit & process shipments electronically from any Port of the United States under Remote Location Filing (RLF) entry system.

  • Cancellations:
    Any member/non member who fails to attend after having made a reservation, and has not cancelled by 4:00 PM on the Friday prior to the dinner meeting, will be invoiced $27.00 for the cost of the dinner.

NAPM-San Diego's dinner meetings are held the second Tuesday of every month. Locations vary to accommodate the diverse locations of our members, so be sure to scroll down to read about our current meeting or check the future schedule for meetings to come. Remember that you do not have to be a member to come and join us!

General Information

Reservations are required.....kindly reserve your seat online or by phone, fax or mail.

The following details apply to all members and non-members planning to attend one of our meetings:

  • Price: With reservations $27 for members $37.00 for non-members.
  • Cancellations: Any member/non member who fails to attend after having made a reservation, and has not cancelled by 4:00 PM on the Friday prior to the dinner meeting, will be invoiced $27.00 for the cost of the dinner.

    Due to the fact that NAPM-SD has to pay the full price of each guaranteed dinner (we give a count on Friday), it has become necessary to charge the full price to the member/non member that fails to attend after making a reservation. It is not fair to the general membership to subsidize costs of dinners.

  • Non-Sufficient Funds fee: There will be a $20 fee for any check that is returned for non-sufficient funds.
