Leveraging Leasing for IT Asset Acquisition and Management

Speaker: Michelle Taylor, Senior Account Executive with Insight Investments

Our speaker for January is Michelle Taylor, Senior Account Executive with Insight Investments, a Corporation that manages the financial aspects of leasing various types of IT equipment. In her current position with Insight Investment Corp., Michelle is responsible for developing and managing lease finance relationships.

In addition to giving us a current market analysis & outlook for IT leasing, Michelle will go over the pros & cons of leasing, how to select a lessor that is right for your needs and finally, how a purchasing agent can leverage leasing services to reduce their work load!

During her extensive and diverse career, Michelle has held a number of sales and marketing management positions with hi-tech and service companies that served domestic and international markets. Her responsibilities included developing strategies and implementing programs that significantly increased revenues and broadened companies’ visibility in the marketplace.

In her current position with Insight Investment Corp., Michelle is responsible for developing and managing lease finance relationships. Prior to that, she served as Vice President of Client Services for Right Management Consultants in Irvine and San Diego, CA, where she managed 40 territory accounts.

Taylor received a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Iowa and an M.B.A. from the University of Minnesota. She has also been involved as a volunteer with several non-profit organizations such as the J.F. Shea Center (therapeutic horse back riding that improves the lives of people with disabilities), American Heart Association and UCSD Cancer Center.

    Any member/non member who fails to attend after having made a reservation, and has not cancelled by 4:00 PM on the Friday prior to the dinner meeting, will be invoiced $30.00 for the cost of the dinner.

NAPM-San Diego's dinner meetings are held the second Tuesday of every month. Locations vary to accommodate the diverse locations of our members, so be sure to scroll down to read about our current meeting or check the future schedule for meetings to come. Remember that you do not have to be a member to come and join us!

General Information

Reservations are required.....kindly reserve your seat online or by phone, fax or mail.

The following details apply to all members and non-members planning to attend one of our meetings:

  • Price: With reservations $28 for members $35.00 for non-members
    At the door $35.00
  • Cancellations: Any member/non member who fails to attend after having made a reservation, and has not cancelled by 4:00 PM on the Friday prior to the dinner meeting, will be invoiced $30.00 for the cost of the dinner.

    Due to the fact that NAPM-SD has to pay the full price of each guaranteed dinner (we give a count on Friday), it has become necessary to charge the full price to the member/non member that fails to attend after making a reservation. It is not fair to the general membership to subsidize costs of dinners.

  • Non-Sufficient Funds fee: There will be a $20 fee for any check that is returned for
    non-sufficient funds.
