George Shibata is a seasoned professional known for
thinking outside the box as well as for balancing
vision with practical solutions based on experience
in the multi facets of supply-chain management. His
notable experiences include:

Managing the rapid start-up of the supply chain
functions (production planning, procurement, inventory
control and logistics) at the Sony plants in Pittsburgh,
San Diego and Tijuana.
- Contributing
to the attainment of No.1 market share for projection
TVs in the U.S. by leading the Sony Pittsburgh supply
chain initiative that achieved the stretch goals
of manufacturing lead-time reduction from 5 months
to 4 weeks and inventory reduction of greater than
50%.

Leading the Oracle ERP and i2 Factory Planner implementation
project together with the plant operations re-engineering
initiative enabling the Pittsburgh plant to become
a model plant for speed (responsiveness) and flexibility.
