February Meeting

Big Changes to UCC Rules

Speakers: Alan Dickson, CPCM, Fellow [see biography]
and Charles Rumbaugh, CPCM, Fellow [see biography]

Big Changes to UCC Rules on Contract Formation and Terms of the Deal are Around the Corner-Are You Ready? Important Practical Commercial Contract Negotiation and Drafting Ramifications (including those to Company "boilerplate" provisions) due to the New Revisions to Article 2 to the UCC (including abolition of the longstanding UCC solution to the "Battle-of-the-Forms").

In this workshop participants will learn:

  • What has happened / will happen to the UCC and state law.
  • The need to consider changes to negotiation tactics due to the changes in the "Battle of the Forms" concept and whether it "really" does end the battle!
  • The potential impact on how the terms of the deal will now be structured through the UCC, and how to anticipate and mitigate those UCC changes to your advantage!
