Speaker Biography:
In his role as Director of Procurement at
ViaSat, Inc., a satellite communication equipment
OEM, Ray Barger is leading the redefinition of the
company’s operating model to reduce cost and
increase agility through development of an outsourced,
high-performance supply chain. Ray’s previous
assignments included Program Director for government
development programs.
Ray’s experience includes serving as Vice President,
Operations at MultiSpectra Engineering, Inc., (now
merged into Tachyon) and as Director, Field Support
at Hughes Network Systems. Ray also held Program Manager,
Finance Manager and Production Supervisor roles at
Linkabit and General Dynamics Electronics.
Ray’s educational background includes:
- BSME, University of California at Santa Barbara.
- MBA in Production Operations Management, San Diego
State University.
- C.P.M. (ISM) Professional Certification.
- CSCP & CIRM (APICS) Professional Certifications.
- Certificate in Business Computer Systems from UC
San Diego Extension.
