John Segovia, Director of Corporate Sales, Wesco Aircraft Hardware Corporation will speak to us about Wesco’s, Vendor Managed Inventory system.

Wesco is an International Corporation with headquarters in Valencia, California and operations in France, England, Germany & Israel. They are a major distributor of aerospace hardware whose sales in 2006 topped over $500 million. That’s a lot of hardware to move!

A key element in Wesco’s success is their customized computer system that allows their inside sales people to play a proactive role in managing their customer’s JIT / DLF / Inventory Management System. Instead of spending their time typing orders in Wesco’s system, the inside sales people receive daily computer reports showing their customer’s current and past usage. This allows them to telephone the buyer, point out any significant changes and validate the authenticity of the change.

Speaker Biography:

John Segovia, Director Corporate Sales has been with Wesco for 20years. Prior to that he was employed by one of the world's leading fastener maufacturers. His 30 years experience in the industry covers all facets of fastener manufacturing and distribution.

NAPM-San Diego's dinner meetings are held the second Tuesday of every month. Locations vary to accommodate the diverse locations of our members, so be sure to scroll down to read about our current meeting or check the future schedule for meetings to come. Remember that you do not have to be a member to come and join us!

General Information

Reservations are required.....kindly reserve your seat online or by phone, fax or mail.

The following details apply to all members and non-members planning to attend one of our meetings:

  • Price: With reservations $28 for members $35.00 for non-members
    At the door $35.00
  • Cancellations: Any member/non member who fails to attend after having made a reservation, and has not cancelled by 4:00 PM on the Friday prior to the dinner meeting, will be invoiced $30.00 for the cost of the dinner.

    Due to the fact that NAPM-SD has to pay the full price of each guaranteed dinner (we give a count on Friday), it has become necessary to charge the full price to the member/non member that fails to attend after making a reservation. It is not fair to the general membership to subsidize costs of dinners.

  • Non-Sufficient Funds fee: There will be a $20 fee for any check that is returned for
    non-sufficient funds.
