Burt is Distinguished Professor of Supply Chain Management
and Director of the University of San Diego's undergraduate
and graduate programs in supply chain management.
Dr. Burt's articles have appeared in the Harvard Business
Review, Sloan Management Review, California Management
Review, The Journal of Purchasing and Materials Management,
and Thexis. He has consulted with firms including
IBM, Motorola, Lockheed, Avery Dennison, Southern
California Edison, and Gateway. Dr. Burt received
his B.A. in Economics at the University of Colorado,
M.S.I.A at the University of Michigan, and Ph.D. in
Logistics from Stanford University.
