Linda Collins is the Purchasing Manager at the University
of California San Diego and is responsible for Purchasing,
Equipment Management, Business Contracts and Subcontract
Administration. Prior to UCSD, she was in charge of
the procurement and inventory functions at Pacific
Southwest Airlines. Linda is actively involved in
many procurement re-engineering and electronic commerce
efforts at UCSD with the goal of designing improved
services to campus customers and suppliers. She is
a past President for the NAEB Pacific Region and has
recently been involved in efforts between University
of California and California State University to share
knowledge and to establish consolidated purchasing
agreements. Linda received a Bachelor of Science in
Business Administration at San Diego State University
in 1976, during which time she experienced an exciting
semester at sea traveling the world.
