from1995 to 1997. From 1995 to 1998, Wilsey was
a radio talk show host of Smart Investing, KCEO
AM 1000 every weekday morning at 9:00 a.m., then
on KSDO AM 1130 from July 1999 to June 2000. Wilsey
provides listeners with market updates, breaking
financial news, buy/sell/hold on stocks and mutual
funds, along with other investment tips. Currently,
the Smart Investing Show can now be heard Saturday
mornings on KFMB AM 760 from 8-10:00 a.m.. A weekly
article can also be seen every Monday in the San
Diego Daily Transcript, which focuses on the fundamentals
of investing.
Wilsey's
financial career including working as an Accountant
for Foodmaker, Inc., as a Registered Representative
for the Principle Financial Group, and as an Investment
Director for Pamco Securities in the mid-80's. In
the latter role, Wilsey was one of the first people
in Southern California to work in investments inside
a bank, investing and managing an average of nearly
$45 million in investments for Great American First
Savings Bank.
An avid self-educator, Wilsey's daily routine starts
at 5:30 a.m. with CNBC, followed by Internet reading
with the Associated Press and Stand & Poors, and
local financial updates from the Union-Tribune's
business section. He is committed to meeting his
customer's and listeners' needs with accurate, day-to-day
servicing of accounts via active participation in
all stock exchanges, including NYSE, AMEX and the
OTC market.
An
accounting graduate of National University, Wilsey
received his MBA degree from the same institution
in 1986. His various licenses and designations include
a Life and Health Insurance License, and Series
7 NASD Registered Representative and Series 24 NASD
Registered Principal designations. He is also an
Investment Advisory Representative for the State
of California. Wilsey currently resides in Poway
with his wife and their three children.
