Voith Siemens Hydro’s
York operations are home to one of the world’s
largest dedicated hydro turbine equipment manufacturing
facilities in the world. More than a third of the
world’s electricity generated with hydropower
is produced with turbines and generators made by
Voith Siemens Hydro, and our products can be found
in such applications as the Hoover Dam, Niagara
Falls, Holtwood, and Conowingo. With over a 120
year history in the York Area, Voith Siemens is
the most financially sound hydro turbine equipment
producer, and offers a great and stable working
environment for which to have a long and fulfilling
career. Voith Siemens is currently searching for
dedicated, enthusiastic and self motivated candidates
who can:
* Support domestic and international strategic
sourcing programs for generators, generator sub
components and generator related services.
* Develop purchasing specifications by analyzing
complex technical data, design, prints and a wide
variety of other manufacturing requirements.
* Constantly seek to investigate new partnerships
and alliances with suppliers to maximize cost savings
potential while minimizing delay in delivery of
key commodities.
* Continuously review the supply network, making
recommendations to change suppliers as necessary
to assure best cost and best quality products.
* Maintain vendor records, literature and catalog
files in order to keep abreast of current pricing
trends and availablity of material.
* Purchase assigned commodities at best quality
in the most efficient manner and in accordance with
established policy and procedures.
