Supply Chain Manager/Contract Management (Ref# - NB60115459-JA)


Responsibilities Responsible for contract management related issues to ensure contractual obligations are met so Edison can realize the full value for which it contracted. This position will work directly with various suppliers at all levels to maintain effective supplier relationships. Responsible for the development, monitoring, and implementation of supplier performance goals related to cost, quality, and service related functions. Responsible for determining the appropriate buying strategy to maximize the potential value to be received from the contractor. Responsible for competitive solicitation, supplier selection, development of contracts, contract language, and associated terms and conditions to ensure appropriate risk mitigation. Responsible/accountable for development and implementation of supply chain strategies and business processes to meet Company, department, and business unit goals and objectives. Responsible for resolution of disputes and/or claims pertaining to contract language. contractual terms and other related commercial items. Responsible for coordinating and resolving field disagreements and potential disputes in collaboration with business unit representatives. Responsible for providing facilitation, collaboration, total cost reduction, cost savings, and Supplier Diversity goals. Responsible for understanding, interpreting, and applying business tools (financial, logistical, commercial, risk, and cost analysis) to attain desired results. Accountable for accomplishment of business goals, objectives, and initiatives. Responsible for facilitating the integration and cohesion of business relationships among business units, team members, and external suppliers.
Requirements Basic Qualifications:
Must possess three or more years of experience in program or contract management with an emphasis on large/complex construction or maintenance related contracts.

Core Competencies:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing purchasing practices and policies.
  • Demonstrated experience with service related contracts, such as: fixed price, fixed unit price, time and material, and cost reimbursable contracts.
  • Demonstrated experience using SAP in a purchasing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with PC software applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply principles of financial analysis, activity based costing, and supply chain methodology.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must demonstrate excellent business mastery, including the ability to integrate work across relevant areas, risk management, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.
  • Must demonstrate excellent management mastery, including effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building, and staying current with relevant technology and innovation.
  • Must demonstrate strong personal mastery, including ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.

Comments:
Additional testing may be administered as part of the selection process to fill this position.

Preferences:
Certificate: Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM). Knowledge of procurement contracts and standard terms and conditions.
