Overview |
Central Contra
Costa Sanitary District (Central San) is a special
district that collects and treats an average of
45 million gallons of wastewater per day for about
450,000 residents and businesses in central Contra
Costa County, CA (located in the San Francisco Bay

| Responsibilities |
Central San is seeking a Purchasing
and Material Manager to plan, organize, direct, manage,
and review the operation of the Purchasing and Materials
Services Division. The ideal candidate will manage
the purchase, sale and lease agreements for the District’s
real property, negotiate property deals, and comply
with the Board direction, federal, state and local
laws. An individual with a strong background in financial
and inventory management is being sought.

| Requirements |
The incoming Manager should have
8 years of progressively responsible experience in
large-scale governmental or commercial purchasing
including familiarity with construction, contract
administration, warehousing, and inventory control
procedures including 5 years of supervisory experience.
A Bachelor’s degree with a major in purchasing,
business administration, public administration or
a related field is required; possession of a Certified
Purchasing Manager Certification is desirable.

The salary for
the Purchasing and Materials Manager range is $7887-$9586
monthly and is dependent upon qualifications. Central
