Interested in volunteering to help hold our monthly meetings? Read on...

The following volunteer positions are available to help us facilitate our monthly meetings:

Speaker Equipment Manager

Verify restaurant has correct equipment available for speaker(s). Arrive at the meetings at least by 5:20pm to ensure equipment is in place. Set out Handouts for speaker(s).

Speaker Selection Sub-Committee

(2-3 people) Meet 2 times a year, and correspond by e-mail and phone as required. Brainstorm and develop topics for upcoming meetings. Find appropriate speakers including contact information.

Speaker Finalization (Programs Manager)

Send out confirming e-mail that includes the date, location, and time. Request speaker bio and summary. Forward to newsletter and for website. Confirm with speaker the equipment needed (pass on info. to equip. mgr.) Send reminder e-mail to speakers 3-5 working days before the meeting. Great speaker(s) when they arrive. Be there by 5:20pm. Perform introduction of speaker(s).

Speaker Escort/Guide

(Could be shared with Programs Manager.) Greet speaker(s) upon arrival. Help them get seated. Make speaker(s) feel 'at home' during dinner. Stay with them during duration of time at meeting. (Need separate guides - one for pre-dinner, one for dinner) Introduce speaker(s) before their presentation.

Picture Taker

(1 or 2) Take pictures of the high points of our monthly NAPM-SD meetings, esp. the speakers. Camera not needed.
